Unusual cryptic abstract pattern. the textured pattern is created through a meticulous and time-consuming Japanese hand-weaving technique called Rinzu. Rinzu is a Japanese silk satin damask. It was the preferred fabric for kimonos in the Edo period.
Diamond point, pre-tied bow tie. The adjustable strap is the same fabric as the tie.
